Purpose: Most smokers attempt to quit smoking, but few are successful. Data regarding the reasons for this relapse and the course of the relapse process may be helpful for determining efficient methods of smoking cessation. This study aimed to identify the causes of and scenarios associated with smoking relapse after effective smoking cessation.
Patients And Methods: We conducted 20 semi-structured interviews with smokers who had previously unsuccessfully attempted to quit. The data underwent qualitative content analysis.
Results: Three major themes were identified: reasons for smoking relapse; smoking relapse scenarios; and perception of the influence of personal environments, including family and physicians, on refraining from smoking after cessation. The first theme comprised the following subthemes: insufficient willpower and self-discipline, contact with smokers, exposure to stressful situations, lack of family support, weight gain, and insufficient improvement in one's mental and physical well-being. The second theme contained enjoyable social events, professional life, critical events, and encouragement to smoke from family members. The respondents frequently emphasized the large role of interaction with other smokers.
Conclusion: The predominant factors underlying smoking relapse include insufficient willpower and self-discipline and exposure to stress. The most frequent relapse scenario concerned experiencing negative or positive emotions when interacting with other smokers.

Infectious intracranial aneurysms (IIAs) are rare lesions with fragile arterial walls located within the aneurysms, carrying a high risk of rupture. Standard management often involves antibiotic therapy and parent artery occlusion; however, the latter carries a significant risk of cerebral infarction. This report presents a case of an unruptured IIA following cerebral infarction, successfully treated with coil embolization while preserving the parent artery.

Pilonidal sinus is a common pathology of the intergluteal cleft that can develop into abscess or suppuration. This lesion corresponds histologically to a granuloma that organizes around foreign bodies, most often hairs, and fistulizes to the skin through partially epithelialized orifices. If suppuration and abscess develop, treatment is based either on medical treatment combining analgesics, local antiseptics and sometimes antibiotics, or on emergency incision and drainage in the operating room.

Introduction: Bladder cancer is common in men. The number of recurrences is one of the risk factors for progression and poor prognosis in nonmuscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). We aimed to investigate whether bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) has an effect on bladder cancer recurrence in patients with nonmuscle invasive bladder cancer.

Background: HER2 expression has been confirmed to be associated with bladder cancer aggressiveness. Anti-HER2 RC48-ADC is approved in China for the treatment of patients with advanced urothelial carcinoma with failed chemotherapy who are HER2 positive (IHC 2 + or 3 +). The discovery of HER2 positivity in urothelial carcinoma and the development of anti-HER2 drugs have brought new hope for bladder preservation treatment in MIBC.
