Background: The relationship between inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and the risk of ischemic heart diseases (IHD) remains a subject of debate. In this study, we sought to investigate the association between IBD and long-term risk of IHD in a substantial cohort of IBD patients.
Methods: In this retrospective cohort study we utilized data from a state-mandated provider in Israel (Maccabi Healthcare Services).

Background: Ceramide, a key molecule in sphingolipid metabolism, is recognized as a standalone predictor of long-term major adverse cardiac events (MACE). We explore if integrating the global registry of acute coronary events (GRACE) score with the ceramide risk score (ceramide test 1, CERT1) improves MACE prediction in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Methods: This cohort study included 210 participants with ACS undergoing PCI.

Methods: An analysis was performed on 1823 diabetic adults using data collected from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) between 1999 and 2016.
