Background: Orthopaedic surgical intervention in children with Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) often includes triceps surae lengthening (TSL) and foot procedures to address instability and pain due to equinus and cavovarus deformities. These surgeries may unmask underlying weakness in this progressive disease causing increased calcaneal pitch and excessive dorsiflexion in terminal stance leading to crouch. The purpose of this study was to evaluate changes in ankle function during gait following TSL surgery in children with CMT.

Purpose: This report presents a case of fungal keratitis treated with penetrating keratoplasty using a cryopreserved cornea, highlighting the successful maintenance of corneal transparency post infection resolution.

Observations: A 57-year-old man complaining of pain in the right eye was referred to our hospital. Although diagnosed with fungal keratitis, his corneal scraping indicated the presence of , and he was unresponsive to voriconazole, micafungin, and pimaricin treatments.

Objective: To investigate the effects of minimally invasive strabismus surgery (MISS) on tear film function and ocular surface status in patients with strabismus.

Methods: We respectively analyzed the clinical data from 173 cases of strabismus patients treated at Xi'an First Hospital from September 2021 to March 2024. The patients were classified into a minimally invasive group (n=91, undergoing MISS) and a conventional group (n=82, undergoing traditional strabismus correction) according to their treatment plans.
