Research has consistently shown that misinformation can continue to affect inferential reasoning after a correction. This phenomenon is known as the (CIE). Recent studies have demonstrated that CIE susceptibility can be predicted by individual differences in stable cognitive abilities. Based on this, it was reasoned that CIE susceptibility ought to have some degree of stability itself; however, this has never been tested. The current study aimed to investigate the temporal stability of retraction sensitivity, arguably a major determinant of CIE susceptibility. Participants were given parallel forms of a standard CIE task 4 weeks apart, and the association between testing points was assessed with an intra-class correlation coefficient and confirmatory factor analysis. Results suggested that retraction sensitivity is relatively stable and can be predicted as an individual-differences variable. These results encourage continued individual-differences research on the CIE and have implications for real-world CIE intervention.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the in vitro effects of coffee exposure on the color and roughness of conventional and bulk-fill resin composites, with and without surface pre-reacted glass-ionomer (S-PRG) filler.
Methodology: Forty-eight cylindrical samples (Ø6 mm × 2 mm) were prepared and categorized as follows (n = 12 per group): conventional nano-hybrid (Tetric N-Ceram, Ivoclar); nano-hybrid with S-PRG filler (Beautifil II, Shofu); bulk-fill (Tetric N-Ceram Bulk Fill, Ivoclar); and bulk-fill with S-PRG filler (Beautifil Bulk Restorative, Shofu). The samples were assessed for surface roughness (Ra, μm), color coordinates (CIE Lb), and overall color change (ΔE, ΔE).

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of different types of bleaching methods and repolishing on the whiteness index and staining susceptibility of additive and subtractive production resin-based materials and direct composite resins.
Methods: In this study, a total of 96 samples (8*8*2m) were prepared using a nanohybrid composite resin (Neo Spectra-ST (NS)), a subtractive-manufactured nanoceramic resin (Cerasmart270 (CS)), and an additive-manufactured permanent resin (Saremco print Crowntec (CT)). The samples were randomly divided into four treatment groups: control (distilled water, 14 days), in-office bleaching (Opalescence Boost-40% HP, 3*20min), at-home bleaching (Opalescence PF-16% CP, 6 h, 14 days), and toothpaste group (Opalescence Whitening, 2*5min, 14 days) (n:8).

This study aimed to compare the color changes in two different orthodontic clear aligner systems after submersion in various beverages for 14 days. The tested aligner systems were Taglus Premium made of polyethylene terephthalate glycol (the TAG group) and CA Prodin+ made of a transparent copolyester and a thermoplastic elastomer (the PRO group). A total of 56 samples were firstly divided into two groups according to the tested system-TAG and PRO.

Pancreatic cancer is a rare but lethal cancer due to its biologically aggressive nature, advanced stage at the time of diagnosis, and poor response to oncologic therapies. The risk of pancreatic cancer is significantly higher to 5% in certain high-risk individuals with inherited genetic susceptibility. Screening for pancreatic cancer in these individuals from high-risk groups can help with the early detection of pancreatic cancer as well as the detection of precursor lesions leading to early surgical resection and improved overall outcomes.

Background: Esthetic orthodontic wires are preferred for their ease to fit in with natural tooth color, but their susceptibility to staining in the oral environment poses a concern. Various Coatings such as Teflon and Epoxy aim to enhance appearance and biocompatibility but may still result in discoloration. Understanding the color stability of these wires under different staining conditions is crucial for a better and enhanced treatment plan.
