Adult-onset Still's disease (AOSD) is a rare systemic autoinflammatory disorder that can present with fever, arthritis, and systemic inflammation, often complicating underlying chronic conditions. This report describes the case of a 71-year-old male patient with chronic kidney disease-related renal anemia and pseudogout (calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease (CPPD)) treated on an outpatient basis. The patient presented to our hospital with rectal bleeding lasting for two to three weeks, leading to the identification of rapidly progressing anemia through blood tests.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the rate of successful transitions, identify factors associated with early versus late transitions, and diagnosis and treatment changes after transition into adult rheumatology.

Patients And Methods: In this retrospective study, patients with childhood-onset rheumatic diseases who transitioned from pediatric to adult rheumatology care between January 2013 and January 2023 were screened for a successful transition. Successful transitions were defined as maintaining annual visits to the adult rheumatology clinic after transition.

Background: Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) represents a serious, life-threatening complication of primary antiphospholipid syndrome (PAPS), a thrombophilic disorder mainly characterized by vascular thrombosis and/or pregnancy morbidity. Risk factors for DAH in PAPS patients and the comorbidities that may trigger DAH were investigated here in the effort to identify possible independent predictors of DAH in PAPS patients.

Methods: Only PAPS patients fulfilling the Sydney criteria were taken into consideration.
