Background: With the increasing number of potential interventions for Alzheimer's Disease (AD), there is a growing need to detect meaningful cognitive changes early in the disease. Frequent passive monitoring of smartphone behaviour, such as typing speed and precision, can give insight into the cognitive changes in AD. In the 'A personalized Medicine Approach for AD' (ABOARD)-project we investigated the reliability and validity of typing behaviour to monitor cognition in people with and without AD.

Mutations in the Rhodopsin (RHO) gene are the main cause of autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa (adRP), 84% of which are pathogenic gain-of-function point mutations. Treatment strategies for adRP typically involve silencing or ablating the pathogenic allele, while normal RHO protein replacement has no meaningful therapeutic benefit. Here, we present an adenine base editor (ABE)-mediated therapeutic approach for adRP caused by RHO point mutations in vivo.

Objectives: The 36-month XTEND (NCT03939767) multicentre, observational, prospective study examined the effectiveness of proactive treatment regimens of intravitreal aflibercept (IVT-AFL) 2 mg in treatment-naïve patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) in routine clinical practice. The 12- and 24-month outcomes from the XTEND UK cohort are reported.
Methods: Patients aged ≥50 years with nAMD planned to receive IVT-AFL 2 mg were eligible.

The purpose of this review is to summarize the long-term cognitive, psychological, fluid biomarker, and neuroimaging outcomes following repetitive concussive and subconcussive blast exposures sustained through a military career. A review of the literature was conducted, with 450 manuscripts originally identified and 44 manuscripts ultimately included in the review. The most robust studies investigating how repetitive concussive and subconcussive exposures related to cognitive performance suggest there is no meaningful impact.
