Aim: To quantitatively analyze the relationship between spherical equivalent refraction (SER) and retinal vascular changes in school-age children with refractive error by applying fundus photography combined with artificial intelligence (AI) technology and explore the structural changes in retinal vasculature in these children.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective case-control study, collecting data on 113 cases involving 226 eyes of schoolchildren aged 6-12 years who attended outpatient clinics in our hospital between October 2021 and May 2022. Based on the refractive spherical equivalent refraction, we categorized the participants into four groups: 66 eyes in the low myopia group, 60 eyes in the intermediate myopia group, 50 eyes in the high myopia group, and 50 eyes in the control group.

Vibronic coupling and multiple electronic states effect play a pivotal role in the molecular spectroscopy of large systems. Herein, we present a detailed theoretical study on the absorption (ABS) and electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra of three [7]helicene derivatives in chloroform, with a particular emphasis on the significance of vibronic coupling and the multiple electronic states effect in spectral simulations. The vertical gradient (VG) and vertical Hessian (VH) models, incorporating the Franck-Condon (FC) effect and Herzberg-Teller (HT) contribution, are considered in the vibronic calculations.

Introduction: Stroke-associated pneumonia (SAP) is a major cause of mortality during the acute phase of stroke. The ADS score is widely used to predict SAP risk but does not include 24-h non-contrast computed tomography-Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score (NCCT-ASPECTS) or red cell distribution width (RDW). We aim to evaluate the added prognostic value of incorporating 24-h NCCT-ASPECTS and RDW into the ADS score and to develop a novel prediction model for SAP following thrombolysis.

Traditional epidemiological studies are susceptible to confounding factors. To clarify the impact of metabolic syndrome and its diagnostic components on hepatocellular carcinoma, we conducted a preliminary mendelian randomization analysis with metabolic syndrome and its diagnostic components as exposures and hepatocellular carcinoma as the outcome. Another set of genetic data related to hepatocellular carcinoma was used as a validation cohort, repeating the mendelian randomization analysis and combining the two groups for a meta-analysis.

Rationale And Objectives: Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) status, glioma subtypes and tumor proliferation are important for glioma evaluation. We comprehensively compare the diagnostic performance of amide proton transfer-weighted (APTw) MRI and its related metrics in glioma diagnosis, in the context of the latest classification.
Materials And Methods: Totally 110 patients with adult-type diffuse gliomas underwent APTw imaging.
