Background: Polyps containing bizarre stromal cells are occasionally observed in the lower gynecologic tract, including the vagina, cervix, and endometrium, predominantly in perimenopausal or postmenopausal patients. These cases have traditionally been considered benign without subsequent recurrence or malignancy.
Case Presentation: We describe a rare instance of a rapid enlarging endometrial polyp characterized by atypical stromal cells in a 76-year-old postmenopausal woman, who presented with vaginal bleeding.

Immature pituitary-specific transcription factor 1 (PIT1)-lineage pituitary neuroendocrine tumors are composed of PIT1-lineage cells with cytological atypia and limited differentiation. Spiny mice (Acomys spp.) are warm-blooded (homeothermic) vertebrates whose ability to restore missing tissue through regenerative healing has coincided with the evolution of unique cellular and physiological adaptations across different tissue types. This review seeks to explore how these bizarre rodents deploy unique or altered injury response mechanisms to either enhance tissue repair or fully regenerate excised tissue compared to closely related, scar-forming mammals.

The identity of Inodesmus Cook, 1896 and its single species, Inodesmus jamaicensis Cook, 1896, has been a mystery for decades. This species was described from a Jamaican cave but not only did the repository of the type material remain unknown, but also the types were believed to be lost. Here we redescribe the species and designate a lectotype and a paralectotype from the newly found type material.
