Alpine wet meadows are known as NO sinks due to nitrogen (N) limitation. However, phosphate addition and N deposition can modulate this limitation, and little is known about their combinative effects on NO emission from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in wet meadows. This study used natural wet meadow as the control treatment (CK) and conducted experiments with N (CONH addition, N15), P (NaHPO addition, P15), and their combinations (CONH and NaHPO addition, N15P15) to investigate how N and P supplementation affected soil NO emissions in wet meadow of QTP.

Antimicrobial resistance and biofilm formation by microbial pathogens pose a significant challenge to poultry production systems due to the persistent risk of dissemination and compromise of bird health and productivity. In this context, the study aimed to investigate the occurrence of different multiresistance phenotypes and the biofilm-forming ability of Enterobacteriaceae isolated from broiler chicken excreta in poultry production units in Ceará, Brazil. Samples were collected from three distinct broiler breeding facilities and subjected to isolation, identification, antibiotic susceptibility testing, phenotypic screening for β-lactamases enzymes, and biofilm formation evaluation.

Endophytic bacteria, recognized as eco-friendly biofertilizers, have demonstrated the potential to enhance crop growth and yield. While the plant growth-promoting effects of endophytic bacteria have been extensively studied, the impact of weed endophytes remains less explored. In this study, we aimed to isolate endophytic bacteria from native weeds and assess their plant growth-promoting abilities in rice under varying chemical fertilization.

We introduce a versatile method to convert NAD or NADP -dependent dehydrogenases into quasi-direct electron transfer (quasi-DET)-type dehydrogenases, by modifying with a mediator on the enzyme surface toward the development of 2.5 generation enzymatic sensors. In this study, we use β-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) dehydrogenase (BHBDh) from Alcaligenes faecalis (AfBHBDh) as a representative NAD or NADP -dependent dehydrogenase.
