This editorial explores the clinical implications of organizing pneumonia (OP) secondary to pulmonary tuberculosis, as presented in a recent case report. OP is a rare condition characterized by inflammation in the alveoli, which spreads to alveolar ducts and terminal bronchioles, usually after lung injuries caused by infections or other factors. OP is classified into cryptogenic (idiopathic) and secondary forms, the latter arising after infections, connective tissue diseases, tumors, or treatments like drugs and radiotherapy.

Desktop three-dimensional (3D) printers are used in businesses, schools, and colleges, and are generally of an unenclosed design which may give rise to injuries or inhalation exposure to emissions of small particles (<1 µm) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The aim of this work was to explore the health risks related to the use of desktop 3D printers in workplaces in the United Kingdom. A digital survey on the use of desktop 3D printers was completed voluntarily and anonymously between February and June 2023, receiving 146 responses.

Background: A 51-year-old woman was referred to our department due to chronic dry cough lasting six years without an etiological diagnosis. The patient suffered from chronic deterioration in her quality of life due to a persistent cough that sounded like a barking seal.
Case Presentation: A severe form of malacia involving the inferior third of trachea and the main bronchi was diagnosed.

With the effects of ventilating lung, discharging heat, descending adverse Qi, and relieving cough and asthma, this prescription is mainly used to treat pulmonary distension caused by phlegm heat obstructing the lungs. Currently, it is commonly used in clinical practice for the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, acute bronchitis, pneumonia, bronchial asthma, pulmonary heart disease, and pertussis.
