Voiding cystourethrography (VCUG) is a widely accepted radiographic imaging technique that has been traditionally used for identifying vesicoureteral reflux in children. Given the simultaneous evaluation of the lower urinary tract that is afforded by VCUG, many common and uncommon abnormalities of the ureters, bladder and urethra can also be elucidated. Knowledge of the appearance of these urological entities may facilitate their proper identification.

Urinary tract dilations (UTDs) are the most frequent prenatal renal anomaly. The spectrum of etiologies causing UTD ranges from mild spontaneously resolving obstruction to severe upper and lower urinary tract obstruction or reflux. The early recognition and management of these anomalies allows for improved renal endowment prenatally and ultimately better outcome for the child.

Introduction: We evaluated the level of achievement of the published recommendations of the European and American neurogastroenterology and motility (NGM) Societies, on the competence in managing NGM disorders in a European Country with regulated gastroenterology training program.
Methods: We conducted a nationwide survey to gastroenterologists in Spain. Information regarding demographics, training center characteristics, NGM training, self-reported interest, satisfaction with the Tier 1 skills recommended by the ANMS-ESNM, and perceived competence in the diagnosis and management of diseases in the spectrum of NGM was obtained.
