This data article is related to the research article, M.J. McNulty, K. Kelada, D. Paul, S. Nandi, and K.A. McDonald, Introducing uncertainty quantification to techno-economic models of manufacturing field-grown plant-made products, Food Bioprod. Process. 128 (2021) 153-165." The raw and analyzed data presented are related to generation, analysis, and optimization of ultra-large-scale field-grown plant-based manufacturing of high-value recombinant protein under uncertainty. The data have been acquired using deterministic techno-economic process model simulation in SuperPro Designer integrated with stochastic Monte Carlo-based simulation in Microsoft Excel using the Crystal Ball plug-in. The purpose of the article is to make techno-economic and associated uncertainty data available to be leveraged and adapted for other research purposes.

The depletion of fossil resources, coupled with global warming and adverse environmental impact of traditional petroleum-based plastics, have necessitated the discovery of renewable resources and innovative biodegradable materials. Lignocellulosic biomass (LB) emerges as a highly promising, sustainable and eco-friendly approach for accumulating polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), as it completely bypasses the problem of "competition for food". This sustainable and economically efficient feedstock has the potential to lower PHA production costs and facilitate its competitive commercialization, and support the principles of circular bioeconomy.

An integrated process was constructed combining ammonia-enhanced CO sequestration and low-temperature preparation of SO to achieve efficient recovery and comprehensive utilization of the main element in phosphogypsum (PG). The entire integrated process could mitigate the environmental issue of PG stacking and the CO concentration, as well as yield high value-added product of SO. PG obtained its maximum carbonation ratio of 91% within 40 min, and transformed to micro-sized fine CaCO.
