Despite numerous studies of water structures at the two-dimensional water-solid interfaces, much less is known about the phase behaviors of water at the one-dimensional (1D) liquid-solid interface. In this work, the 1D interfacial water phase behavior on the outer surface of carbon nanotube-like (CNT-like) models is studied by tuning the Lennard-Jones potential parameter ε of the surface atoms at various temperatures. Extensive molecular dynamics simulations show that ice nanotubes (INTs) can be spontaneously formed on CNT-like model surfaces without nanoconfinement.

Heteroarene-fused heteroles have attracted considerable attention owing to their unique electronic and photophysical properties. The bridging element plays a crucial role in determining the electronic characteristics of the resulting π-conjugated molecules. In this study, we synthesized a series of heteroarene-fused benzo[b]arsoles and investigated their structures and photophysical properties.

The farnesoid X receptor (FXR) regulates key physiological processes, such as bile acid homeostasis and lipid metabolism, making it an important target for drug discovery. However, the overactivation of FXR often leads to adverse effects. This study presents the development of a novel fluorescent probe utilizing the computer-aided drug design (CADD) approach to optimize linkers between more potent warhead and FITC fluorescent groups.

Purpose Of Review: The term metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) refers to a group of progressive steatotic liver conditions that include metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), which has varying degrees of liver fibrosis and may advance to cirrhosis, and independent hepatic steatosis. MASLD has a complex underlying mechanism, with patients exhibiting diverse causes and phases of the disease. India has a pool prevalence of MASLD of 38.
