Case: A 62-year-old woman with a medical history of nail-patella syndrome (NPS) presented with chronic right shoulder pain. Physical examination revealed that her right shoulder had a restricted range of motion. Radiograph of the shoulder revealed arthritic changes with glenohumeral joint space narrowing, inferior humeral head osteophytes, and posterior glenoid wear. The patient was successfully treated with total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA). The patient had an uneventful postoperative course and was satisfied with her quality of life at the 30-month follow-up.
Conclusion: TSA may be successfully performed with careful reaming of the hypoplastic glenoid fossa in patients with NPS.

Background: Human placental hydrolysate (hPH) contains anti-inflammatory substances. This study aimed to analyze whether injecting hPH into the subacromial space could reduce pain in patients with shoulder impingement syndrome.
Methods: This single-blind, randomized controlled study enrolled 50 patients with shoulder impingement syndrome who were randomly assigned to either the hPH or placebo groups.

The most common complication associated with selective neck dissection is spinal accessory nerve dysfunction and shoulder disability, which result from level IIb dissection. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the incidence of level IIb lymph node metastasis in clinically node-negative (cN0) oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) patients. Patients presenting with cN0 OSCC between November 2012 and November 2023 were included retrospectively.

Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the marginal accuracy of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and zirconia copings fabricated using computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology, and to assess the impact of their material properties on accuracy when produced with a 4-axis milling system under controlled conditions.
Settings And Design: The study employed an in vitro design with a stainless steel die model featuring a 6 mm axial wall height, a 6-degree total occlusal convergence, and a radial shoulder finish line.
Materials And Methods: Thirty stone dies were created from silicone impressions of the metal die and poured using type-IV dental stone.

Objective: By comparing the hip arthroplasty parameters planned with the AIHIP three-dimensional simulation surgery system, this study analyzes the accuracy of the new femoral-side "shoulder-to-shoulder" artificial anatomical marker positioning method in femoral-side prosthesis implantation and the prevention of leg length discrepancy in hip arthroplasty.
Methods: A retrospective collection of 47 patients who underwent initial total hip arthroplasty at our hospital from August 2020 to December 2022 and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria was used as the study subjects. The average age was 67.

Background: Arthroscopic repair with the biceps rerouting (BR) technique has been determined to lead to promising clinical and biomechanical outcomes for treating large-to-massive rotator cuff tears (LMRCTs). However, the in vivo effects of BR on glenohumeral kinematics during functional shoulder movements have not been fully elucidated.
Purpose: To investigate whether BR provides a better restoration of shoulder kinematics compared with conventional rotator cuff repair (RCR).
