Introduction: Synbiotics have revealed the possibility of improving constipation through gut microbiota. The synergistic efficacy of subsp. lactis BL-99 (BL-99) and fructooligosaccharide (FOS) on constipation have not been investigated.

Background: The UK National Paediatric Diabetes Audit (NPDA) data reports disparities in Haemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) levels among children and young people (CYP) with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D), with higher levels in those of Black ethnic background and lower socioeconomic status who have less access to technology. We investigate HbA1c differences in a T1D cohort with higher than national average technology uptake where > 60% come from an ethnic minority and/or socioeconomically deprived population.
Design & Methods: Retrospective cross-sectional study investigating the influence of demographic factors, technology use, and socioeconomic status (SES) on glycaemic outcomes.

This study emphasizes the critical importance of closely monitoring and controlling the sialic acid content in therapeutic glycoproteins, including EPO, interferon-γ, Orencia, Enbrel, and others, as the level of sialylation directly impacts their pharmacokinetics (PK), immunogenicity, potency, and overall clinical performance due to its influence on protein clearance via hepatic asialoglycoprotein receptors (ASGPR). The ASGPR recognizes and binds to glycoproteins exposed to terminal galactose or N-acetylgalactosamine residues, leading to receptor-mediated endocytosis. Recent studies have demonstrated that sialylation of O-linked glycan plays a role in protecting against macrophage galactose lectin (MGL)-mediated clearance.

Convexity and fractional integral operators are closely related due to their fascinating properties in the mathematical sciences. In this article, we first establish an identity for the modified Atangana-Baleanu (MAB) fractional integral operators. Using this identity, we then apply Jensen integral inequality, Young's inequality, power-mean inequality, and Hölder inequality to prove several new generalizations of Ostrowski type inequality for the convexity of .

Resting state electroencephalography (EEG) has proved useful in studying electrophysiological changes in neurodegenerative diseases. In many neuropathologies, microstate analysis of the eyes-closed (EC) scalp EEG is a robust and highly reproducible technique for assessing topological changes with high temporal resolution. However, scalp EEG microstate maps tend to underestimate the non-occipital or non-alpha-band networks, which can also be used to detect neuropathological changes.
