Objective: Dye-diluent combinations have different nerve-staining behavior, making locoregional cadaveric dye study findings difficult to compare. The objective of this study was to quantify the effect of 4 diluents on nerve color saturation when used in combination with commercial food dye.
Methods: 48 unpreserved brachial plexus nerves were randomized into 4 diluent groups.

Local anesthetics (LAs: articaine, lidocaine, bupivacaine, and mepivacaine) are essential for dental pain management. However, there are concerns that the lipophilic LAs could cross into breast milk causing toxicity to the infant. Our objective was to establish a multi-analyte LC-MS/MS method for the concurrent quantification of local anesthetics (LAs) in human plasma and breast milk, clarifying the transfer of LAs from plasma to breast milk, thereby offering crucial data for the safe assessment of LAs during the nursing period.

Background: Post-traumatic distal limb wounds cause discomfort and heal gradually by second intention. The topical application of Tri-Solfen (lidocaine hydrochloride, bupivacaine hydrochloride, adrenaline acid tartrate and cetrimide [LBAC]) produces effective postsurgical cutaneous analgesia in lambs, calves and piglets; however, its effect on wounds in horses is unknown.
Methods: The antinociceptive effect, measured by mechanical threshold (MT), and the wound healing impacts of LBAC compared with saline were investigated on surgically created 20 × 20 mm distal limb wounds in 10 horses.
