The main stages and achievements in the investigation of the fate of mRNA in eukaryotic cells, which began half a century ago with the discovery of informosomes by A.S. Spirin, there are discussed. The results of even the most recent studies confirm Spirin's hypotheses about the structure and function of the informosomes, now called mRNPs. In the bibliography, we present only small part of the published articles in this field. The full list is too large.

Carbapenem-resistant (CRE) are a global health threat due to their high morbidity and mortality rates and limited treatment options. This study examines the plasmid-mediated transmission of virulence and antibiotic resistance determinants in carbapenem-resistant () and () isolated from Russian hospitals. : We performed short- and long-read whole-genome sequencing of 53 clinical isolates (48 and 5 ) attributed to 15 genetic lineages and collected from 21 hospitals across nine Russian cities between 2016 and 2022.

Introduction: This is a retrospective analysis of the results of carotid endarterectomy (CEA) in different age groups.
Methods: This cohort, comparative, retrospective, open-label study for the period from 2008 to 2020 included 7248 patients with hemodynamically significant stenoses of the internal carotid artery (ICA), who underwent CEA. According to the classification of the World Health Organization, patients were divided into groups depending on age: up to 44 years-young age ( = 84); 45-60 years-middle age ( = 1635); 61-75-elderly age ( = 4817); over 75 years-senile age ( = 712).

The manuscript disputes the exclusive mono-infectious way of thinking, which presumes that for every infection only one pathogen is responsible and sufficient, when infectious vectors, close contact and reduced immunity meet. In situations involving heavily colonized anatomical sites such an approach often ends in insoluble contradictions. Upon critical reflection and evaluation of 20 years research on spatial organization of vaginal microbiota it is apparent, that in some situations, pathogens may act and operate in permanent, structurally organized consortia, whereas its individual components may be innocuous and innocent, failing to express any pathogenic effect.

Background: A challenge facing many Academic Health Centers (AHCs) attempting to revise health professions education to include the impact of racism as a social and structural determinant of health (SSDoH) is a lack of broad faculty expertise to reinforce and avoid undermining learning modules addressing this topic. To encourage an institutional culture that is in line with new anti-racism instruction, we developed a six-part educational series on the history of racism in America and its impact on contemporary health inequities for teaching structural competency to health professions academicians.
Methods: We developed a six-hour elective continuing education (CE) series for faculty and staff with the following objectives: (1) describe and discuss race as a social construct; (2) describe and discuss the decolonization of the health sciences and health care; (3) describe and discuss the history of systemic racism and structural violence from a socio-ecological perspective; and (4) describe and discuss reconciliation and repair in biomedicine.
