This article comes from an academic research, conducted with old persons living in French nursing homes and doing esports workshops, led by young volunteers. With the case of a 93-year-old resident, recently introduced to technological tools, we show how the stakes of videogames competition were at first met with her fear not to be good enough. However, her involvement in the competition mustered, through afterwardness, some elements from her childhood and adolescent psychic life.

Over the last decade, hip-hop pedagogy has received a lot of attention in the field of education because of its significance in improving students' learning effects. This review articulates the current understanding of the positive impact of hip-hop pedagogy on students' learning effects within publications, an under-researched area. Based on a review of previous studies, this review innovatively examines six major elements of hip-hop pedagogy (DJ, MC, cypher, breakdance, knowledge, and graffiti) and concludes that the six major elements of hip-hop pedagogy can, in terms of the four dimensions of learning motivation, engagement, learning and memorization, and critical thinking, improve students' learning effects.

While acute exercise affects sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) function, the impact of resistance training remains unclear. The purpose of the present study was to investigate SR Ca handling plasticity in response to moderate- and high-volume strength training in elite rowers. Twenty elite male (n = 12) and female (n = 8) rowers performed three weekly strength training sessions for 8 weeks and were randomly allocated to either perform 3 sets (3-SET) or progressive increase from 5 to 10 sets (10-SET) of 10 repetitions during the training period.
