Sex cord-stromal tumors are the second most common testicular tumors after germ cell tumors. They account for about 2%-5% of adult testicular tumors. Most of these tumors are benign. The most common sex cord-stromal tumor is Leydig cell tumor. In contrast, testicular fibroma is a very rare type of sex cord-stromal tumors. Histologically, testicular fibromas resemble their ovarian counterparts; however, they are much less common than ovarian fibromas. To the best of our knowledge, <50 cases of testicular fibromas are reported in the English literature. Herein, we report a rare case of testicular fibroma with acellular collagen plaque in a 51-year-old male presenting as a painless testicular mass.

Sertoli cell tumors are a rare type of sex-cord stromal tumor. We present a case of a thirteen-year-old male presenting with 2-3 months of fevers and twenty-pound weight loss. Evaluation revealed leukocytosis, anemia, elevated systemic inflammatory markers and a negative infectious disease evaluation.

Malignant ovarian sex cord-stromal tumors belong to a specific type of ovarian epithelial carcinoma, and their prognosis is related to the kind of pathology. Unlike epithelial ovarian cancer, most malignant ovarian sex cord-stromal tumors are low-grade malignant and have a good prognosis. Still, they have a tendency to recur in the long term, and the mortality rate of patients after recurrence is high.

Testicular tumors are the most common malignancy of young men and tumors affecting the testis are caused by somatic mutations in germ or germ-like cells. The PI3K pathway is constitutively activated in about one third of testicular cancers. To investigate the role of the PI3K pathway in transforming stem-like cells in the testis, we investigated tumors derived from mice with post-natal, constitutive activation of PI3K signaling and homozygous deletion of tumor suppressor Pten, targeted to nestin expressing cells.

Introduction And Importance: Adult-type granulosa cell tumors (AGCTs) are rare, low-grade malignant ovarian sex-cord stromal tumors, accounting for approximately 5 % of all ovarian tumors. These tumors are characterized by their potential for late recurrence and complex management, which presents significant challenges, particularly in resource-limited settings where access to advanced diagnostic tools and treatment options is restricted. This study highlights a series of rare AGCT cases diagnosed in premenopausal and postmenopausal women in Northern Tanzania.
