Axon guidance is a key event in neural circuit development that drives the correct targeting of axons to their targets through long distances and unique patterns. Exosomes, extracellular vesicles that are smaller than 100 nm, are secreted by most cell types in the brain. Regulation of cell-cell communication, neuroregeneration, and synapse formation by exosomes have been extensively studied.

Introduction: Cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) is a chronic systemic degenerative disease affecting small blood vessels in the brain, leading to cognitive impairments. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), a non-invasive brain stimulation technique that applies low electrical currents to the scalp, shows promise in treating cognitive and movement disorders. However, further clinical evaluation is required to assess the long-term effects of tDCS on neuroplasticity and gait in patients with CSVD.

Objectives: To address the lack of nerve and blood supply after labial salivary gland transplantation (LSGT) resulting in glandular atrophy. We designed a modified LSGT, called insular infraorbital neurovascular pedicle LSGT, and evaluated the postoperative efficacy.
Design: This is a prospective, single-centre, self-contained study.

Retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) generally fail to regenerate axons, resulting in irreversible vision loss after optic nerve injury. While many studies have shown that modulating specific genes can enhance RGCs survival and promote optic nerve regeneration, inducing long-distance axon regeneration through single-gene manipulation remains challenging. Nevertheless, combined multi-gene therapies have proven effective in significantly enhancing axonal regeneration.

This letter compares the clinical efficacy and economic feasibility of the scoliocorrector fatma-UI (SCFUI) with direct vertebral rotation (DVR) in treating adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS). SCFUI has shown promising results in three-dimensional spinal correction, providing superior rotational alignment compared to DVR and achieving significant improvements in coronal and sagittal planes. Additionally, SCFUI's advanced design reduces risks associated with AIS surgeries and enhances overall patient outcomes.
