Piceatannol, a stilbene compound, undergoes a comprehensive phase II metabolism mediated by UDP-glucuronosyltransferases (UGTs) and sulfotransferases (SULTs) in humans. Despite their well-documented beneficial effects on health, their detailed pharmacokinetic fate, including the metabolite structure and properties, is poorly understood. Thus, we determined the structure of seven glucuronides and six sulfates transformed from piceatannol and its methylated derivatives in recombinant yeast cells expressing UGTs or SULTs.

Background: Medical Visual Question Answering (MedVQA) enhances diagnostic accuracy and healthcare delivery by leveraging artificial intelligence to interpret medical images. This study aims to redefine MedVQA as a generation task that mirrors human-machine interaction and to develop a model capable of integrating complex visual and textual information.
Methods: We constructed a large-scale medical visual-question answering dataset, PMC-VQA, containing 227,000 VQA pairs across 149,000 images that span various modalities and diseases.

Materials And Methods: This single center retrospective cohort study analyzed patients diagnosed with GIP who underwent emergent surgery and were admitted to the intensive care unit between January 2013 and March 2023.

Advances in three-dimensional (3D) genomics have revealed the spatial characteristics of chromatin interactions in gene expression regulation, which is crucial for understanding molecular mechanisms in biological processes. High-throughput technologies like ChIA-PET, Hi-C, and their derivatives methods have greatly enhanced our knowledge of 3D chromatin architecture. However, the chromatin interaction mechanisms remain largely unexplored.
