Introduction: Although amiodarone is traditionally used in the treatment of postoperative junctional ectopic tachycardia (JET), the search for new treatments is ongoing. We present our experience with ivabradine at two medical centers.

Materials And Methods: Between January 2022 and January 2023, patients who developed JET after pediatric cardiac surgery were prospectively followed up and documented.

Background: Perioperative myocardial injury after noncardiac surgery is associated with postoperative mortality. Heart rate (HR) is an independent risk factor for perioperative myocardial injury. In this pilot trial we tested the feasibility of a randomised, placebo-controlled trial of personalised HR-targeted perioperative ivabradine.

Pediatric postoperative junctional ectopic tachycardia (JET), although usually self-limited, may lead to significant morbidity and mortality. Anti-arrhythmic medications are often necessary to restore atrioventricular synchrony when non-pharmacological measures fail. Multiple drugs have been described for the management of postoperative JET, with enteral ivabradine being the latest addition.

Background: Ivabradine is a specific heart rate (HR)-lowering agent which blocks the cardiac pacemaker I channels. It reduces the HR without causing a negative inotropic or lusitropic effect, thus preserving ventricular contractility. The authors hypothesized that its usefulness in lowering HR can be utilized in patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass (OPCAB) surgery.

Introduction: Classic coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery involves diastolic cardiac arrest under cardiopulmonary bypass, while off-pump CABG (OPCABG) has become widespread in recent years.

Methods: 174 patients who underwent OPCABG were included in the study. Patients were divided into two groups.
