Published: April 1988

In the cerebellar cortex of the lizard two types of astroglial cells were described: protoplasmic astrocytes and epithelial cells of Golgi. The relationship of these cells to some other cerebellar components such as the neurons of Purkinje, the granular cells or the blood vessels was demonstrated. An additional type of astrocyte rich in cytoplasmic organelles was found.
