Emergent electromagnetic induction based on electrodynamics of noncollinear spin states may enable dramatic miniaturization of inductor elements widely used in electric circuits, yet the research is still in its infancy and many issues must be resolved toward its application. One such problem is how to increase working temperature to room temperature, and possible thermal agitation effects on the quantum process of the emergent induction are unknown. We report here large emergent electromagnetic induction achieved around and above room temperature, making use of a few tens of micrometer-sized devices based on the high-temperature (up to 330 K) and short-period (≤ 3 nm) spin-spiral states of a metallic helimagnet. The observed inductance value and its sign are observed to vary to a large extent, depending not only on the spin-helix structure controlled by temperature and applied magnetic field but also on the applied current density. The present finding on room-temperature operation and possible sign control of may provide a step toward realizing microscale quantum inductors on the basis of emergent electromagnetism in spin-helix states.

Fluorescent iron nanoclusters are emerging fluorescent nanomaterials. Herein, we synthesized hemoglobin-coated iron nanoclusters (Hb-Fe NCs) with a significant fluorescence emission peak at 615 nm and investigated the inner-filter effect of fluorescence induced by a manganese dioxide nanosheet (MnO NS). The fluorescence quenching of Hb-Fe NCs by a MnO NS can be significantly reversed by the addition of ascorbic acid.

A covalent organic framework (COF) has emerged as a promising photocatalyst for the removal of pharmaceutical and personal care product (PPCP) contaminants; however, high-performance COF photocatalysts are still scarce. In this study, three COF photocatalysts were successfully synthesized by the condensation of benzo[1,2-b:3,4-b':5,6-b'']trithiophene-2,5,8-tricarbaldehyde (BTT) with 4,4',4''-(1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triyl)trianiline (TAPT), 1,3,5-Tris(4-aminophenyl)benzene (TAPB), and 4,4',4''-nitrilotris(benzenamine) (TAPA), namely, BTT-TAPA, BTT-TAPB, and BTT-TAPT, respectively. The surface areas of BTT-TAPA, BTT-TAPB, and BTT-TAPT were found to be 800.

Cartilage repair remains a critical challenge in orthopaedic medicine due to the tissue's limited self-healing ability, contributing to degenerative joint conditions such as osteoarthritis (OA). In response, regenerative medicine has developed advanced therapeutic strategies, including cell-based therapies, gene editing, and bioengineered scaffolds, to promote cartilage regeneration and restore joint function. This narrative review aims to explore the latest developments in cartilage repair techniques, focusing on mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy, gene-based interventions, and biomaterial innovations.

Due to the endocrine toxicity, neurotoxic, and reproductive toxicity to organisms, the sources and risks of brominated organic pollutants have attracted widespread attention. However, knowledge gaps remain in the bromination processes of emerging phenolic pollutants in plants, which may increase the potential health risk associated with food exposure. Our study discovered that light induced generation and accumulation of more toxic brominated organic compounds (Br-org) in lettuce leaves under the stress of acetaminophen (ACE) than that without light, as evidenced by an increase in C-Br bond intensity in FTIR analysis.
