Four experiments were conducted to determine whether participants' awareness of the performance criterion on which they were being evaluated results in higher scores on a criterion valid situational interview (SI) where each question either contains or does not contain a dilemma. In the first experiment there was no significant difference between those who were or were not informed of the performance criterion that the SI questions predicted. Experiment 2 replicated this finding. In each instance the SI questions in these two experiments contained a dilemma. In a third experiment, participants were randomly assigned to a 2 (knowledge/no knowledge provided of the criterion) X 2 (SI dilemma/no dilemma) design. Knowledge of the criterion increased interview scores only when the questions did contain a dilemma. The fourth experiment revealed that including a dilemma in a SI question attenuates the ATIC-SI relationship when participants must identify rather than be informed of the performance criterion that the SI has been developed to assess.

To address the issue of low-elevation target height measurement in the Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) radar, this paper proposes a height measurement method for meter-wave MIMO radar based on transmitted signals and receive filter design, integrating beamforming technology and cognitive processing methods. According to the characteristics of beamforming technology forming nulls at interference locations, we assume that the direct wave and reflected wave act as interference signals and hypothesize a direction for a hypothetical target. Then, the data received are processed to obtain the height of low-elevation-angle targets using a cognitive approach that jointly optimizes the transmitted signal and receive filter.

This study includes musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) risk evaluation based on the IMU sensor data gathered from patient-lifting movement performed by healthcare specialists. This is a continuation of previous research focusing on a novel multicriteria statistical model integrating experimental and large-scale statistical datasets. The proposed model estimates MSD probabilities over 5, 10, and 15 years for the neck (0.

In existing coverage challenges within wireless sensor networks, traditional sensor perception models often fail to accurately represent the true transmission characteristics of wireless signals. In more complex application scenarios such as warehousing, residential areas, etc., this may lead to a large gap between the expected effect of actual coverage and simulated coverage.

Selecting channels for motor imagery (MI)-based brain-computer interface (BCI) systems can not only enhance the portability of the systems, but also improve the decoding performance. Hence, we propose a cross-domain-based channel selection (CDCS) approach, which effectively minimizes the number of EEG channels used while maintaining high accuracy in MI recognition. The EEG source imaging (ESI) technique is employed to map scalp EEG into the cortical source domain.
