Unnecessary preoperative testing poses a risk to patient safety, causes surgical delays, and increases healthcare costs. We describe the effects of implementing a fully EHR-integrated closed-loop clinical decision support system (CDSS) for placing automatic preprocedural test orders at two teaching hospitals in Madrid, Spain. Interrupted time series analysis was performed to evaluate changes in rates of preoperative testing after CDSS implementation, which took place from September 2019 to December 2019.

Objective: To assess the feasibility and outcome of rapid recovery protocol (RRP) in severe adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) patients with Cobb angle ≥90 degrees underwent single-staged posterior spinal fusion (PSF).
Summary Of Background Data: Corrective surgeries in severe AIS patients entail a higher risk of prolonged operation, excessive bleeding, extended hospital stay, and higher complication rates compared with non-severe AIS patients.
Background: Constituting ~0.5% of all NHS cataract operations, national provision of immediately sequential bilateral cataract surgery (ISBCS) is limited. Combining offering ISBCS within a novel one-stop see-and-treat (S&T) cataract pathway would offer patients the opportunity for two cataract operations in a single hospital visit.

Purpose: This study aims to summarize the characteristics of children under three years old (≤3 years) with central nervous system (CNS) tumors and to investigate the factors that influence their overall survival (OS) time.
Methods: We treated 171 pediatric patients (≤3 years) with CNS tumors at Yuquan Hospital of Tsinghua University from January 2016 to June 2023. Of these, 162 cases were successfully followed up.
