Visible-light absorbing metal-free organic dyes are of increasing demand for various optoelectronic applications because of their great structure-function tunability through chemical means. Several dyes also show huge potential in triplet photosensitization, generating reactive singlet oxygen. Understanding the structure-property relationships of many well-known fluorescein dyes is of paramount importance in designing next-generation energy efficient dyes, which is currently limited.

Methane emissions from ruminant digestion contribute significantly to global anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions. Members of the phylum Rhodophyta (red algae), particularly Asparagopsis sp., have shown promising results in reducing methane emissions in ruminants, due to their high content of halogenated methane analog compounds.

The findings regarding trace element concentrations in patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and healthy controls are inconsistent, and therefore, we determined to gather them in the form of a review to further indicate the need for more advanced knowledge development. In our study, we reviewed articles and studies that involved the topics of micronutrient and metal associations with the occurrence and development of type 2 diabetes. We mainly included works regarding human-based studies, but with limited research results, animal-based research was also taken into account.

Conjugation of radiofluorinated prosthetic groups to primary amines of peptides in an aqueous medium is still considerably challenging. Herein, we report a one-pot cascade synthesis of 1-[F]fluoro-4-isothiocyanatobenzene ([F]), an isothiocyanate-functionalized prosthetic group for radiolabeling of various peptides in aqueous medium. The developed compound [F] was synthesized in >99% radiochemical purity with 22.
