It is shown that during 10 days after transplantation of syngenic 22a hepatoma cells to C3HA mice, wave-like fluctuations of the natural killer cell (NK) activity of splenocytes take place. Xenogenic (K-562) and allogenic (AC-1) cells are used as target cells in the 18th hour 3H-uridine cytotoxic test. A significant increase in the NK-activity on the 2nd-3rd and 7-9th days after tumour cells transplantation is observed. Elimination of adherent cells from suspension of splenocytes lead to an increase in the NK-activity especially on the 7th-9th days.

Very virulent plus Marek's disease virus (vv+MDV) induces severe immunosuppression in commercial chickens. In this study, we evaluated how three Gallid alphaherpesvirus 2 (GaHV-2) vaccines (CVI-988, rMd5-BAC∆Meq, and CVI-LTR) protected against two negative outcomes of vv+MDV infection: (1) reduced viability and frequency of immune cells in the spleen and (2) decreased efficacy of the CEO (chicken embryo origin) vaccine against infectious laryngotracheitis challenge. At 25 days post-infection with vv+MDV 686, all vaccines are protected against the reduced viability of splenocytes.

Introduction: The gut microbiota plays a pivotal role in influencing host health, through the production of metabolites and other key signalling molecules. While the impact of specific metabolites or taxa on host cells is well-documented, the broader impact of a disrupted microbiota on immune homeostasis is less understood, which is particularly important in the context of the increasing overuse of antibiotics.
Methods: Female C57BL/6 mice were gavaged twice daily for four weeks with Vancomycin, Polymyxin B, or PBS (control).

Numerous chronic human disorders are associated with immune activation by obscure antigen(s). We identified a novel sarcoidosis-epitope (ChainA) by immunoscreening of a novel T7 phage library and confirmed an abundance of ChainA IgG-antibody in sarcoidosis. We tested whether ChainA epitope elicits immune responses through B-cell activation, plasma cell differentiation and antibody production.

Esmolol has been demonstrated to mitigate inflammation damage and T lymphocyte apoptosis in septic cardiomyopathy. It has been established that the activation of α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) by cluster of differentiation 4(CD4) T lymphocytes expressing choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) can prevent excessive inflammation and reduce splenocyte apoptosis in septic cardiomyopathy. Given the similar anti-inflammatory effects, we hypothesized that esmolol might be associated with α7 nAChR and thereby exert its cardioprotective functions.

Background: Altered Fli1 expression is associated with various autoimmune diseases, yet its impact on B cells remains unexplored.
Objective: This study investigated the direct effects of Fli1 depletion on B cell populations, focusing on age-associated B cells (ABCs).
Methods: Splenocytes of Fli1 BcKO (Cd19-Cre; Fli1) and Cd19-Cre mice were analyzed flow cytometrically.
