Background: Si Jun Zi Tang (SJZ), a four-herb Chinese medicine formula that has been described for approximately one thousand years, is often prescribed for cancer patients as a complementary therapy in China. However, the mechanism by which Si Jun Zi Tang enhances the efficacy of gefitinib is unclear.
Methods: We investigated how Si Jun Zi Tang affected the pharmacokinetics of gefitinib in rats. A rapid, specific, and reliable ultra-performance liquid chromatography method with mass spectrometry was established to determine the plasma concentration of gefitinib.
Results: The results showed that a single intragastrically administered dose of Si Jun Zi Tang increased the pharmacokinetic parameters of gefitinib ( , 3156.13 g/L; A UC, 46281.5 g/L/h) by 3 folds in rats compared with the administration of gefitinib alone ( , 1352.07 g/L; AUC, 11823.7 g/L/h). Si Jun Zi Tang could also alter the pharmacokinetics of gefitinib by prolonging the time to reach .
Conclusions: Potential pharmacokinetic interactions between gefitinib and SJZ were evaluated, and SJZ extended and T1/2 and increased the and AUC of gefitinib. Long-term administration of gefitinib in combination with Si Jun Zi Tang would improve the efficacy of gefitinib.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the association of serum iodine concentration (SIC) with thyroid function-associated parameters in pregnant women in mild iodine deficient area, and explore its potential to predict individual iodine nutrition status in pregnant women.
Methods: A total of 741 pregnant women undergoing prenatal examinations in their second trimester at the Women's Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, from March 2021 to May 2022 were finally recruited into the study. Venous blood and morning urine were collected.

The blood proteome contains biomarkers of ageing and age-associated diseases, but such markers are rarely validated longitudinally. Here we map the longitudinal proteome in 7,565 serum samples from a cohort of 3,796 middle-aged and elderly adults across three time points over a 9-year follow-up period. We pinpoint 86 ageing-related proteins that exhibit signatures associated with 32 clinical traits and the incidence of 14 major ageing-related chronic diseases.

Early detection of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is particularly important given its insidious qualities and the high cost of the diagnostic process. Currently, static functional connectivity studies have achieved significant results in the field of ASD detection. However, with the deepening of clinical research, more and more evidence suggests that dynamic functional connectivity analysis can more comprehensively reveal the complex and variable characteristics of brain networks and their underlying mechanisms, thus providing more solid scientific support for computer-aided diagnosis of ASD.

Intelligent transportation systems heavily rely on forecasting urban traffic flow, and a variety of approaches have been developed for this purpose. However, most current methods focus on exploring spatial and temporal dependencies in historical traffic data, while often overlooking the inherent spectral characteristics hidden in traffic time series. In this paper, we introduce an approach to analyzing traffic flow in the frequency domain.
