Closure rate of full-thickness macular holes (FTMHs) with basal diameter >1000 μ is known to be poor. Patients presenting with FTMH having a minimum basal diameter of >1000 μ without any coexistent retinal morbidity were offered vitrectomy, internal limiting membrane peeling, retinal massage, and aspiration of subretinal fluid from the MH. Visual acuity (VA) and spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD OCT) assessments were performed at baseline, week 1 after surgery and at postoperative months 1, 3, 6, and 12.

The productive use of morphological information is considered one of the possible ways in which speakers of a language understand and learn unknown words. In the present study we investigate if, and how, also adult L2 learners exploit morphological information to process unknown words by analyzing the impact of language proficiency in the processing of novel derivations. Background And Purpose: A novel ring-gantry cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) imaging system shows improved image quality compared to its conventional version, but its effect on autosegmentation is unknown. This study evaluates the impact of this high-performance CBCT on autosegmentation performance, inter-observer variability, contour correction times and delineation confidence, compared to the conventional CBCT.
Materials And Methods: Twenty prostate cancer patients were enrolled in this prospective clinical study.

Urinary fistulae are abnormal connections between the urinary system and adjacent body parts, often resulting from factors such as infection, radiation, malignancy, protracted labor, gynecologic surgery, and gastrointestinal tract surgery. These fistulae can lead to persistent urinary incontinence, skin breakdown, social humiliation, psychosocial trauma, and severe infections. Current treatments include surgical repair, urinary diversion, and ureteral embolization, though these can have complications and are not always successful or feasible for all patients.

Background: Growth rods are the gold standard for treating early-onset scoliosis (EOS). However, current treatments with growth rods do not optimize spinal growth in EOS patients, and frequent distraction surgeries significantly increase complications, imposing considerable economic and psychological burdens on patients. An improved growth rod is urgently required to address the need for dynamic growth and external regulation.
