The complete mitochondrial genome of the true bug (Homoptera) (Spinola, 1837) is herein described and used for phylogenetic comparison with other species of Lygaeoidea. The mtDNA has a gene order and other molecular features typically observed in hexapods, and a long A + T-rich region, due to the occurrence of several repeat units. The phylogenetic analyses support the monophyly of all families except Rhyparochromidae.

B-box (BBX) transcription factors play crucial roles in plant growth, development, and defense responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. In this study, we cloned a BBX transcription factor gene, from cucumber and analyzed its role in the plant's defense against the feeding of . is expressed throughout all developmental stages in cucumber, with the highest expression in the leaves.

In our previous research, we found that not only participates in the detoxification metabolism of neonicotinoid insecticides in cotton aphid but also affects their growth and development. However, how does transgenic cotton expressing ds affect the growth and development of cotton aphid? In this study, we combined transcriptome and metabolome to analyze how to inhibit the growth and development of cotton aphid treated with transgenic cotton expressing ds (TG cotton). The results suggested that a total of 509 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified based on the DESeq method, and a total of 431 differential metabolites (DAMs) were discovered using UPLC-MS in the metabolic analysis.

Glucose-6-phosphate isomerase (PGI), a key enzyme that catalyzes the reversible conversion of glucose-6-phosphate and fructose-6-phosphate, plays an important role in plant growth, development, and responses to abiotic stresses and pathogen infections. However, whether and how PGI modulates herbivore-induced plant defenses remain largely unknown. The Brown planthopper (BPH, ) is a devastating insect pest of rice, causing significant damage to rice plants through feeding, oviposition, and disease transmission, resulting in great yield losses.

Greenbug, , is one of the important cereal aphid pests of sorghum in the United States and other parts of the world. variety PI 607900 carries the resistance () gene that underlies plant resistance to greenbug biotype I (GBI). Now, the has been determined as the major gene conferring greenbug resistance based on the strong association of its presence with the resistance phenotype in sorghum.
