Coronary anatomy governs local haemodynamics associated with atherosclerotic development, progression and ultimately adverse clinical outcomes. However, lack of large sample size studies and methods to link adverse haemodynamics to anatomical information has hindered meaningful insights to date. The Left Main coronary bifurcations of 127 patients with suspected coronary artery disease in the absence of significant stenosis were segmented from CTCA images before computing the local haemodynamics.

This case report describes a unique presentation of May-Thurner syndrome (MTS) in a 28-year-old woman, characterized by the congenital bifurcation of the left common iliac vein (LCIV) into the outer (OLCIV) and inner (ILCIV) segments. Both veins experienced significant compression - OLCIV proximally and ILCIV medially - due to the overlying right common iliac artery (RCIA) and lumbar spine. The patient presented with bilateral spider veins, lower extremity swelling, pelvic discomfort, and bilateral leg cramping.

Background And Objective: Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) of the lower limbs is a critical global vascular disease. Accurately assessing and predicting the efficacy of DVT treatment remains a significant challenge due to a lack of understanding of the mechanisms by which the level of patient-specific embolization and the rate of drug injection affect thrombolytic therapy.
Methods: In this study, we used the computed tomographic venography (CTV) clinical method to obtain patient-specific parameters, and the flow-solid interaction (FSI) method combined with biochemical response modeling of thrombolysis to analyze patient-specific hemodynamic and biomechanical characteristics and to quantitatively assess the effects of three vessel embolism levels (VEL) versus two drug injection rates (DIR) on bifurcated femoral venous thrombolytic therapy.
