Cardiac sarcoidosis (CS) overlaps in clinical presentation with arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy and shares phenotypic classification, including the presence of epsilon waves. The presence of conduction disease is seen exclusively in CS, as an important phenotypic difference. We present a case of ventricular tachycardia and epsilon waves due to CS, without conduction disease. ().

Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) is a heritable myocardial condition that mostly affects the right ventricle (RV). Atrial involvement is poorly understood and the evidence for atrial involvement remains limited. In this case report, we describe an 18-year-old woman who had ARVC with the atrial tachyarrhythmia and initially presented with palpitations.

Estimating seismic anisotropy parameters, such as Thomson's parameters, is crucial for investigating fractured and finely layered geological media. However, many inversion methods rely on complex physical models with initial assumptions, leading to non-reproducible estimates and subjective fracture interpretation. To address these limitations, this study utilizes machine learning methods: support vector regression, extreme gradient boost, multi-layer perceptron, and a convolutional neural network.

Fano resonance is achieved by tuning two coupled oscillators and has exceptional potential for modulating light dispersion. Here, distinct from the classical Fano resonances achieved through photonics methodologies, we introduce the Fano resonance in epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) media with novel electromagnetic properties. By adjusting the background permeability of the ENZ host, the transmission spectrum exhibits various dispersive line shapes and covers the full range of Fano parameter q morphologies, from negative to positive infinity.

The ability to design liver-targeted gene delivery vectors is plagued with difficulties ranging from carrier-mediated cellular toxicity to challenges in encapsulating sensitive nucleic acids. Herein, we present an ultrasound-responsive glycopolymersome strategy for loading of nucleic acids and achieving hepatocyte-specific gene delivery. This glycopolymersome is self-assembled from a block copolymer, -acetylgalactosamine-grafted poly(glutamic acid)--poly(ε-caprolactone) (PGAGalNAc--PCL).

In this paper, a tunable and ultra-broadband terahertz (THz) absorber is proposed. The absorber, which is built upon the conventional metal-dielectric-metal tri-layer configuration, incorporates a KCl thin film within the dielectric gap situated between the top resonator and the middle dielectric layer. The simulation indicates that the absorber effectively captures more than 90% of terahertz waves between 3.
