We present the case of a 63-year-old female patient who presented to the pacemaker clinic for a scheduled interrogation of her leadless pacemaker. The device interrogation was suggestive of intermittent under-sensing with failure to pace. Connecting the electrocardiogram lead to the pacing system analyzer raised the suspicion of intermittent loss of telemetry data. ().

Peutz-Jeghar syndrome (PJS) is an inherited condition that puts people at an increased risk for developing hamarotmatous polyps in the digestive tract as well as cancers of the breast, colon, rectum, pancreas, stomach, testicles, ovaries, lung and cervix. With typical presentation, majority cases of PJS can be diagnosed in childhood. PJS is inherited by mutation in the STK II gene, also known as LKB1 gene.

Background: Intermittent hypoxia, a consequence of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB), may contribute to an increased risk of cognitive decline. However, the association between SDB and cognition remains highly variable.
Methods: Fifty-two community-dwelling healthy older adults (28 women) were recruited.

Objective: Spinal stenosis is a prevalent condition; however, the optimal surgical treatment for central lumbar stenosis remains controversial. This study compared the clinical outcomes and radiological parameters of 3 surgical.
Methods: unilateral laminectomy bilateral decompression with unilateral biportal endoscopy (ULBD-UBE), conventional subtotal laminectomy (STL), and minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (MIS-TLIF).

Critical source areas (CSAs) can act as a source of phosphorus (P) during intermittent rainfall events and contribute to dissolved P loss via runoff. Dissolved forms of P are readily accessible for plant and algal uptake; hence it is a concern in terms of the eutrophication of freshwater bodies. The potential of CSAs to release dissolved P to surface runoff upon intermittent short-term submergence caused by different rainfall events has not been studied at a field-scale in New Zealand previously.

Background: A subgroup of CHDs can only be treated palliatively through a Fontan circulation. In case of a failing Fontan situation, serum proteins are lost unspecifically and can also lead to a loss of vaccine antibodies. In a failing Fontan situation, heart transplantation may be the only feasible option.
