Background And Purpose: Radiation-induced hypothyroidism (RIHT) is a late complication of intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). We evaluated thyroid protection in NPC patients receiving IMRT using modified delineation (MD) of cervical lymphatic drainage areas, sparing the common carotid artery within the clinical target volume (CTV), to assess its impact on thyroid function and survival outcomes.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective cohort study included patients without metastatic lymph nodes at levels III and IV who received neck irradiation.

Objective: The study aims to elucidate the mechanisms underlying plaque growth by analyzing the variations in hemodynamic parameters within the plaque region of patients' carotid arteries before and after the development of atherosclerotic lesions.
Methods: The study enrolls 25 patients with common carotid artery stenosis and 25 with tandem carotid artery stenosis. Based on pathological analysis, three-dimensional models of the actual blood vessels before and after the lesion are constructed for two patients within a two-year period.

Although ICAS imposes a considerable health burden, research on this condition in Central Asia remains scarce, especially among the Kazakh population. This study analyzes demographic characteristics, treatment outcomes, and procedural challenges associated with ICAS in 216 patients treated at a single institution.
