Nutritional support is associated with improved clinical outcomes in critically ill patients; however, loss of muscle mass during critical illness leads to weakness, delayed return to work, and increased healthcare consumption. Animal data have suggested that intermittent feeding decreases protein catabolism. This study was aimed at determining whether the mode of enteral nutrition administration might lead to differences in meeting nutritional goals, tolerance, and complications.

Micro-RNAs were reported to participate in the progression of GC. Introduction: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) complicated by thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) and non-cirrhotic portal hypertension (NCPH) is rare. We present a case of a female patient with SLE who developed TMA and NCPH and responded positively to rituximab and plasma exchange treatment.

Novel hydrogels derived from sodium alginate were developed using a complexation form for florfenicol delivery to achieve slow release at the site of intestinal infection and enhance its antibacterial activity against .
Methods: The optimal formulation, physicochemical properties, stability, pH-responsive performance, antibacterial activity, and in vitro biosafety of the florfenicol hydrogels have been studied systematically.

Methods: The prospective cohort study was conducted at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease, Karachi, from December 2020 to June 2021, and comprised ST elevation myocardial infarction patients of either gender aged at least 18 years. Time delay categories were 1st and 2nd delays that were patient-related, and 3rd delay that was system-related), with thresholds of ≤90 minutes and ≤120 minutes.
