Method to Increase Dependability in a Cloud-Fog-Edge Environment.

Robots can be very different, from humanoids to intelligent self-driving cars or just IoT systems that collect and process local sensors' information. This paper presents a way to increase dependability for information exchange and processing in systems with Cloud-Fog-Edge architectures. In an ideal interconnected world, the recognized and registered robots must be able to communicate with each other if they are close enough, or through the Fog access points without overloading the Cloud. In essence, the presented work addresses the Edge area and how the devices can communicate in a safe and secure environment using cryptographic methods for structured systems. The presented work emphasizes the importance of security in a system's dependability and offers a communication mechanism for several robots without overburdening the Cloud. This solution is ideal to be used where various monitoring and control aspects demand extra degrees of safety. The extra private keys employed by this procedure further enhance algorithm complexity, limiting the probability that the method may be broken by brute force or systemic attacks.

Scaffolds are three-dimensional biomaterials that act as structural blueprint for cultured meat precursor cells. The advancement of scaffold fabrication techniques and the development of novel scaffolds specifically designed for cultured meat are evident in numerous scaffold-based cultured meat reports, highlighting the advantages of the scaffolds using different characterization and evaluation techniques encompassing the physical, mechanical, chemical, and biological features of the scaffolds. Considering the potential of scaffolds to be included in cultured meat products, standardization of evaluation techniques could aid in preventing misrepresentation and possible food safety concerns in cultured meat production.

This case report aims to report the successful use of a short-splinted implant in a patient with a history of periodontal disease. Two implants were used to rehabilitate severe atrophied alveolar ridge with fixed prosthesis. Despite the left posterior ridge being weakened by maxillary sinus pneumatization and bone remodeling after tooth extraction, no bone grafts nor sinus osteotomy procedures were needed for the rehabilitation surgery.

Fueled by the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, vaccine hesitancy has become more pronounced and challenging given the increased distrust of science, pervasiveness of misinformation, and polarization of ideas. As such, pediatric providers are increasingly on the frontline of vaccine conversations with their patients, families, colleagues, and communities. To respond effectively to vaccine hesitancy, providers should employ professionalism in all aspects of their practice, including commitment to learning and growth, cultural awareness and humility, ethical responsibility to self and others, oral communication, reliability and dependability, teamwork, critical thinking and quantitative reasoning, and the engagement in public discourse around vaccines.
