To investigate the changes in the strength and deformation of the blast load-damaged sandstone roof plate under cyclic loading and unloading conditions at different confining pressures, a triaxial loading device was used to carry out graded cyclic unloading tests on specimens with different degrees of damage, and the test results were summarized. The effects of blast-load-induced damage, confining pressure and loading stage on the strength, cohesion, internal friction angle, residual strain and volumetric strain were analyzed. (1) Compared with that of the undamaged specimen at a confining pressure of 0 MPa, the peak stress reductions in the vibration-damaged and blast-damaged specimens were 4.

Background: Grid cells are spatially modulated cells in the entorhinal cortex (EC) that fire in a hexagonally patterned grid which tiles the environment. These cells are assumed important in human spatial navigation. The EC is vulnerable to neurodegenerative processes in both normal aging and Alzheimer's disease and decline in grid cell function may be a key factor in understanding age-related navigational decline.

Background: The brainstem locus coeruleus (LC) is among the first sites of Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathology, accruing hyperphosphorylated tau as early as in young adulthood. Animal studies indicate that the LC is crucially involved in sleep-wake regulation, a recently established factor contributing to AD-related pathophysiological processes. However, the associations between LC integrity and sleep-wake phenotypes in the context of AD pathology remain poorly characterized in humans.

Objectives: The neural mechanism associated with impaired consciousness is not fully clear. We aim to explore the association between static and dynamic minimum spanning tree (MST) characteristics and neural mechanism underlying impaired consciousness.
Methods: MSTs were constructed based on full-length functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) signals and fMRI signal segments within each time window.

Coacervates have garnered significant attention as potential drug carriers. However, the instability resulting from their intrinsic membrane-free nature restricts the application of coacervates in drug delivery. Herein, the engineering of poly(ethylene glycol) nanoparticles (PEG NPs) is reported using coacervates composed of PEG and polyphenols as the templates, where PEG is subsequently cross-linked based on different chemistries (e.
