Background: Evidence suggests that individuals with motor neuron disease (MND), a terminal illness, find enjoyment and social connection through video games. However, MND-related barriers can make gaming challenging, exacerbating feelings of boredom, stress, isolation, and loss of control over daily life.
Objective: We scoped the evidence to describe relevant research and practice regarding what may help reduce difficulties for people with MND when playing video games.

Background: Mobile health (mHealth) interventions have gained popularity in augmenting psychiatric care for adults with psychosis. Interest has grown in leveraging mHealth to empower individuals living with severe mental illness and extend continuity of care beyond the hospital to the community. However, reported outcomes have been mixed, likely attributed in part to the intervention and adopted outcomes, which affected between-study comparisons.

Background: Extensive experience with antidepressant clinical trials indicates that interrater reliability (IRR) must be maintained to achieve reliable clinical trial results. Contract research organizations have generally accepted 6 points of rating disparity between study site raters and central "master raters" as concordant, in part because of the personnel turnover and variability within many contract research organizations. We developed and tested an "insourced" model using a small, dedicated team of rater program managers (RPMs), to determine whether 3 points of disparity could successfully be demonstrated as a feasible standard for rating concordance.

Little is known about the availability of these mental health services in Canada, despite the high prevalence of mental health issues in autistic youth.

Caregivers of young people with borderline personality disorder (BPD) or BPD features experience significant burden and distress and often lack effective coping strategies. A family environment of pervasive invalidation can contribute to the disorder and work against effective coping. Consequently, some psychotherapy interventions for young people with BPD or BPD features aim to incorporate caregivers in treatment to varying degrees.
