While considerable progress has been made in understanding the neuronal circuits that underlie the patterning of locomotor behaviors, less is known about the circuits that amplify motoneuron output to adjust muscle force. Here, we demonstrate that propriospinal V3 neurons (Sim1) account for ∼20% of excitatory input to motoneurons across hindlimb muscles. V3 neurons also form extensive connections among themselves and with other excitatory premotor neurons, such as V2a neurons.

Patients with acute kidney injury often require dialysis (AKI-D) in the outpatient setting following hospitalization. Management of the patient with AKI-D should focus on preventing further insult to the damaged kidney and recovery of kidney function. Clinical attention should include continuity of care, education, infection control, medication management, and fluid management.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) affects 10% of the global population, with increasing prevalence driven by diabetes, hypertension, and aging populations. CKD often progresses asymptomatically, frequently undetected until advanced stages, and may require costly treatments, such as dialysis or transplantation. CKD imposes a substantial financial burden on health care systems, with management costs rising sharply as the disease progresses, underscoring the need for early, cost-effective interventions.

Unlabelled: Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a global threat. The identification and characterization of novel resistance genes is integral to AMR surveillance. The (55) gene was originally identified through whole genome sequencing of macrolide-resistant strains of .

The Antibody Mediated Prevention (AMP) trials showed that passively infused VRC01, a broadly neutralizing antibody (bNAb) targeting the CD4 binding site (CD4bs) on the HIV-1 envelope protein (Env), protected against neutralization-sensitive viruses. We identified six individuals from the VRC01 treatment arm with multi-lineage breakthrough HIV-1 infections from HVTN703, where one variant was sensitive to VRC01 (IC < 25 ug/mL) but another was resistant. By comparing Env sequences of resistant and sensitive clones from each participant, we identified sites predicted to affect VRC01 neutralization and assessed the effect of their reversion in the VRC01-resistant clone on neutralization sensitivity.
