A series of novel Fe/Co layered double hydroxides modified with glycine (named as FeCo-LDH@G) were prepared and served as high-performance adsorbents for As (V). With a Fe/Co mole ratio of 1:1, the FeCo-LDH@G adsorbents achieved significant improvements on the adsorption selectivity and capacity for As (V). The As (V) adsorption by FeCo-LDH@G follows Langmuir isotherm model and pseudo-second-order kinetics model. The maximum adsorption capacity is 820 mg g and the equilibrium reaches in 120 min. Under the assistance of electrochemical devices, the FeCo-LDH@G adsorbent was regenerated and the adsorption capacity for As (V) was dropped only about 13.41% in 5 cycles. These excellent performances make FeCo-LDH@G as promising As (V) adsorbents for commercial wastewater treatments.

A subgroup of pigs from two experiments (EXP) were selected to evaluate the impact of pigs fed diets containing peroxidized soybean oil (SO) on plasma-based measures of oxidative stress and vitamin E. Pigs were fed diets containing SO that was either unprocessed (23 °C; peroxide value of 3 meq/kg and an anisidine value of 4) or thermally processed at 135 °C for 42 h (peroxide value of 30 meq/kg and an anisidine value of 501). The corn-soybean meal-based diets contained either 10% SO (EXP 1) or 8% SO (EXP 2).

Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) possess the capacity to regenerate the entire hematopoietic system. However, the precise HSC dynamics in the early post-transplantation phase remain an enigma. Clinically, the initial hematopoiesis in the post-transplantation period is critical, necessitating strategies to accelerate hematopoietic recovery.

We aimed to build a robust classifier for the MGMT methylation status of glioblastoma in multiparametric MRI. We focused on multi-habitat deep image descriptors as our basic focus. A subset of the BRATS 2021 MGMT methylation dataset containing both MGMT class labels and segmentation masks was used.

The heating oil circuit plays an essential role in the heating calendering roller for the lithium battery pole piece. To achieve the optimization of the heating oil circuit, a fluid-thermal-structural coupling method and a multi-objective optimization procedure are proposed to obtain the optimal solution. A fluid-thermal-structural coupling flowchart based on the numerical modeling for the calendering roller temperature distribution is created to automate the analysis processes in the optimization iteration.

Objectives: Critically ill newborn infants often require simultaneous administration of multiple intravenous (IV) solutions through the same catheter lumen, making compatibility of these solutions crucial in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). This study aimed to investigate the physical compatibility of insulin aspart, lidocaine, alprostadil and vancomycin with individualised two-in-one parenteral nutrition (PN).

Methods: The study was conducted at the hospital pharmacy's drug compounding facility of the University Medical Centre Utrecht.
