The effect of oxytocin massage and music on breast milk production and anxiety level of the mothers of premature infants who are in the neonatal intensive care unit: A self-controlled trial.

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of music and oxytocin massage on production and anxiety in mothers of premature infants. The study was designed in the self-controlled trial type and conducted with 73 mothers. The anxiety scores of mothers decreased in the oxytocin massage and the music interventions, and the amount of their breast milk secretion increased ( < 0.05). Music and oxytocin massage has a positive effect on increasing breast milk and decreasing the anxiety of mothers.
