Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a serious central nervous system injury that often causes sensory and motor dysfunction in patients. Diabetes seriously destroys the blood spinal cord barrier (BSCB) and aggravates SCI. Ferroptosis is a new type of programmed cell death.

As a new type of pollutant, the harm caused by microplastics (MPs) to organisms has been the research focus. Recently, the proportion of MPs ingested through the digestive tract has gradually increased with the popularity of fast-food products, such as takeout. The damage to the digestive system has attracted increasing attention.

The abrasion of melamine cleaning sponges release microplastic fibers (MPFs) into the environment, yet the potential risks remain unknown. Here, we evaluated the ingestion, elimination, and toxic effects of melamine MPFs on Daphnia magna through acute and chronic exposures. This new type of MPFs displayed different morphology (a combination of linear and branched fibers with a length ranging from 10 to 157 μm) from the widely-studied MPFs released from textiles (longer and thicker linear fibers but no branched fibers).

Developing of molecular crystalline materials with light-induced multiple dynamic deformation in space dimension and photochromism on time scales has attracted much attention for its potential applications in actuators, sensoring and information storage. Nevertheless, organic crystals capable of both photoinduced dynamic effects and static color change are rare, particularly for multi-component cocrystals system. In this study, we first report the construction of charge transfer co-crystals allows their light-induced solid-to-liquid transition and photochromic behaviors to be controlled by trans-stilbene (TSB) as an electron donor and 3,4,5,6-Tetrafluorophthalonitrile (TFP) as an electron acceptor.

Electrolyte engineering has emerged as an effective strategy for stabilizing Zn-metal anodes. However, a single solute or solvent additive is far from sufficient to meet the requirements for electrolyte cycling stability. Here, we report a new-type high-entropy electrolyte composed of equal molar amounts of Zn(OTf)2 and LiOTf, along with equal volumes of H2O, triethyl phosphate, and dimethyl sulfoxide, which enhances electrolyte stability by increasing solvation entropy.
