We study some dynamical properties of a charged particle that moves in a nonhomogeneous electric field and collides against an oscillating platform. Depending on the values of parameters, the system presents (i) predominantly regular dynamics or (ii) structures of chaotic behavior in phase space conditioned to the initial conditions. The localization of the fixed points and their stability are carefully discussed. Average properties of the chaotic sea are investigated under a scaling approach. We show that the system belongs to the same universality class as the Fermi-Ulam model.

Non-Hermitian models describe the physics of ubiquitous open systems with gain and loss. One intriguing aspect of non-Hermitian models is their inherent topology that can produce intriguing boundary phenomena like resilient higher-order topological insulators (HOTIs) and non-Hermitian skin effects (NHSE). Recently, time-multiplexed lattices in synthetic dimensions have emerged as a versatile platform for the investigation of these effects free of geometric restrictions.

Multidisciplinary team meetings are part of the everyday working life of palliative care staff. Based on ethnographic material from community and hospital palliative care teams in England, this article examines these meetings as dynamic routines. Although intended to have a prescribed format to review deaths and collect standardised information to monitor service performance, in practice, the content and conduct of the meetings were fluid, reflecting how this structure did not always match the concerns held by the team.

The management of diabetic wounds (DW) is a significant challenge within the medical field. Effectively regulating the levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) at the wound site and orchestrating the inflammatory response are effective strategies for DW treatment. In this study, a novel hydrogel was developed by cross-linking polyboronic acid-modified carboxymethyl chitosan with herbal active ingredient rosmarinic acid (RA), an active herbal ingredient, through dynamic boronic esters formation.

It is crucial to prioritize research and development as part of rural revitalization efforts to promote balanced economic growth, preserve cultural heritage, and reduce urban migration. This ensures sustainability and encourages equal access to opportunities, resources, and a healthy environment for people in both rural and urban areas. For the first time, this study explores the interplay between sustainability (Factor A) and health-related environment (Factor B) under the background of rural revitalization in the eight towns (Chengguan, Haocheng, Liacheng, Renqiao, Hugou, Xinmaqiao, Liuji, and Wangzhuang) located in Guzhen County, Bengbu City, China.

A fine-grained understanding of dynamics in cortical networks is crucial to unpacking brain function. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) gives rise to time series recordings of the activity of different brain regions, which are aperiodic and lack a base frequency. Cyclicity analysis, a novel technique robust under time reparametrizations, is effective in recovering the temporal ordering of such time series, collectively considered components of a multidimensional trajectory.
