Lip ulcers associated with endotracheal tube fixation are a known complication in adults, but their prevalence in neonates and preterm infants remains unclear. We report a case of a right oral commissure ulcer that developed during endotracheal tube fixation at the right oral commissure and left lateral decubitus positioning in an extremely preterm infant with unilateral pulmonary interstitial emphysema (PIE). A male infant was born at 24 weeks and four days of gestation, weighing 696 gm.

Symptom severity is higher in infants compared to older children, possibly due to their ineligibility for vaccination. Background: Urinary incontinence (UI), which can be classified as stress, urgency, or mixed, represents a public health problem that mainly affects adult women. This study aimed to determine the prevalence, association of sociodemographic and obstetric factors with the types of UI as well as the perceived impact on quality of life of women attending primary health facilities in the Tacna region from Peru.
Methods: A quantitative, non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional study was conducted.

In the UK, up to 700 people with HIV give birth annually; the majority are Black African migrant cisgender women. Infant-feeding decisions for parents with HIV are complex, requiring parents to weigh-up the small risk of HIV transmission via breastmilk and UK guidelines recommending formula milk, against strong personal and societal expectations to breastfeed. We explored this situation in a qualitative study.
