Unlabelled: After septoplasty procedure and removing of nasal packing, numerous symptoms usually appear that result from inflammation.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of nasal spray on the postoperative period and bacterial contamination in the nasal cavity after septoplasty and inferior turbinectomy.

Material And Methods: There were 40 people observed, who underwent septoplasty and inferior turbinectomy followed by nasal packing.

Results: After removing the tampons from the nasal cavity, the growth of coagulase-negative staphylococci was most often observed in 50%, - 22.5%, - 20.0%. In patients who received intranasally drug in the postoperative period, we observed decrease in inflammation in the nasal cavity, an improvement in the quality of life, as well as a significant (<0.05) decrease in bacterial growth (both in the presence of flora and in intensity growth of microorganisms). The absence of intranasal antibacterial drugs in the scheme of postoperative management of patients contributes to the growth of pathogenic flora, in particular .

Background: Approximately 80% of nasal masses in dogs and 91% of nasal masses in cats are reported to be malignant, but the currently reported diagnostic rate of neoplasia is 54% using blind or rhinoscopic biopsy techniques.

Hypothesis/objectives: Describe the technique of computed tomography (CT)-guided Tru-Cut (Tru-Cut biopsy needle, Merit Medical Systems, Utah, USA) nasal biopsies in cats and dogs to determine the diagnostic rate of neoplasia on the first round of sampling and to evaluate the safety of the technique.

Animals: Thirty client-owned animals, 16 dogs and 14 cats, that had CT-guided nasal biopsies performed to investigate nasal masses.

Nasal endoscopy is crucial for the early detection of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), but its accuracy relies heavily on the clinician's expertise, posing challenges for primary healthcare providers. Here, we retrospectively analysed 39,340 nasal endoscopic white-light images from three high-incidence NPC centres, utilising eight advanced deep learning models to develop an Internet-enabled smartphone application, "Nose-Keeper", that can be used for early detection of NPC and five prevalent nasal diseases and assessment of healthy individuals. Our app demonstrated a remarkable overall accuracy of 92.

To explore the hypothesis of "pathogen storage pool" by analyzing the local microbial community of adenoids. Under the guidance of a 70° nasal endoscope, sterile swabs were used to collect secretions from the adenoid crypts of the subjects. The samples were sent to the laboratory for DNA extraction and standard bacterial 16S full-length sequencing analysis.

Background: Allergic rhinitis (AR) and acute non-allergic rhinosinusitis (ARS) often present with similar symptoms. While these are generally differentiated by history and occasionally by secretion cell counts, there are few data temporally comparing these conditions.

Methods: A prospective, observational study was conducted to assess nasal mucus properties, nasal obstruction, nasal secretion cells, and health related QOL during the acute phase (Day 5) and during a later phase of illness (Day 14/28).

Rationale And Objectives: Nasal polyps (NP) and inverted papilloma (IP) are benign tumors within the nasal cavity, each necessitating distinct treatment approaches. Herein, we investigate the utility of a deep learning (DL) model for distinguishing between NP and IP.

Materials And Methods: A total of 1791 patients with nasal benign tumors from two hospitals were retrospectively enrolled.
