Traditionally, immobilized catalysts sacrifice part of their catalytic activity for their recyclability. To reproduce the catalytic activity of these active species, we construct a novel strategy called "adsorption-desorption-adsorption". Since the active material and the support of the catalyst are connected by an electrostatic force, the catalyst can release the active material into the solvent during the heating process of the reaction to achieve the effect of homogeneous catalysis. When the reaction is over and the temperature is lowered, the catalyst reabsorbs again to achieve the effect of heterogeneous catalysis. Through this "adsorption-desorption-adsorption" catalytic process, the catalyst can become a new semi-homogeneous catalyst, and this strategy could be extended to other immobilized catalysts.

Confronting escalating challenges in energy security and environmental sustainability has intensified interest in renewable sources for fuels and chemicals. Among the most promising alternatives, sugars derived from biomass are emerging as a cornerstone in advancing an environmentally sustainable economy. Within this framework, the development of sunlight-driven carbohydrate oxidation is of significant interest, as it enables the production of a broad spectrum of high-value, bio-sourced chemicals through eco-friendly processes.

Magnetopyrite FeS modified with N/S-doped carbon as a synergistic electrocatalyst for lithium-sulfur batteries.

Rational design of effective cathode host materials is an effective way to solve the problems of serious shuttle and slow conversion of polysulfides in lithium-sulfur batteries (LSBs). However, the redox reaction of sulfur differs from conventional "Rocking chair" type batteries and involves a cumbersome phase transition process, so a single-component catalyst cannot consistently and steadily enhance the reaction rate throughout the redox process. In this work, a hybrid composed of magnetopyrite FeS catalyst-modified with N/S-doped porous carbon spheres (FeS@NSC) is proposed as a novel sulfur host to synergistically promote the adsorption and redox catalysis conversion of polysulfides.

A lipophilic piceid lipoate (PIL) was synthesized by enzymatic method to enhance the antioxidant activity of piceid and improve its state in oil system. The highest substrate conversion of 93.71 % was obtained in γ-valerolactone using Novozym 435 as a catalyst, with a piceid/lipoic acid ratio of 1:15 (mM/mM), an enzyme dosage of 40 mg/mL, and 4 Å molecular sieves at 400 mg/mL.

Carbon dots (CDs) mediated g-CN (CN) is a promising visible-light-driven semiconductor in catalyzing peroxymonosulfate (PMS) for aqueous contaminants remediation. However, the poor dispersibility of powered catalyst and its challenging recyclability impede their broader application. Herein, we embedded FeN bridge within the g-CN framework and immobilized g-CN gel beads (CA/FNCCN) through a 3D cross-linking process with sodium alginate.
