Acute coronary syndromes (ACS) might be complicated by atrioventricular (AV) and intraventricular (IV) blocks in a significant number of cases, and often represent a diagnostic and a therapeutic challenge. These conduction disturbances are predictors of adverse prognosis, with complete AV blocks presenting the most severe outcomes, showing an increased in-hospital mortality. With the advent of emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and the end of the thrombolysis era, the incidence of both AV and IV blocks has surely decreased, but their prognosis in this setting still remains a matter of debate. The aim of this review is to evaluate the current knowledge on AV and IV blocks in the AMI setting with or without ST segment elevation.

To investigate the association of long-term exposure to air pollution with incident arrhythmia from various causes, this prospective cohort study included 442,386 participants from the UK Biobank cohort. Residential annual average exposures at baseline were evaluated, including fine particles (PM), coarse particles (PM), nitrogen dioxide (NO), and nitrogen oxides (NO). We further constructed a composite air pollution score (APS) to evaluate the concomitant exposure to these four pollutants.

Background: Acute right ventricular myocarditis is rare, comprising only 18% of myocarditis cases. Despite being relatively infrequent at 12.4%, dengue-induced myocarditis has a high mortality risk of 26.

Objectives: We evaluated and compared early postprocedural and midterm incidence and evolution of atrioventricular and intraventricular conduction disorders following rapid deployment aortic valve replacement (RDAVR) and conventional aortic valve replacement (AVR).
Materials And Methods: One hundred and forty-seven patients who underwent isolated rapid deployment AVR between 2017 and 2021 as well as 128 patients after conventional biological AVR in the same period were included in this study. ECGs recorded at baseline, discharge, and 12 months were retrospectively analyzed.
