Introduction: The Global Observatory for Physical Education (GoPE!) builds on the Global Observatory for Physical Activity (GoPA!) to address gaps in surveillance, policy, and research on physical education (PE) and activity (PA). GoPE! is a worldwide surveillance system of quality PE and school-based PA that informs policy and interventions and allows comparative analysis so that each country and region can check their status and progress. This paper presents GoPE!'s conceptual framework and describes the research protocol as a cross-continental and evidence-based surveillance system.

Introduction: In the Netherlands, since 1996, there is a national cervical cancer (CC) screening programme in place for women aged 30-60 years. The participation of Turkish- and Moroccan-Dutch women is very low. To facilitate their informed decision-making, we developed a culturally sensitive educational video, and evaluated it through a questionnaire study.

We developed an infographic intervention to augment HIV-related education in the Dominican Republic (DR), which demonstrated preliminary success in pilot studies. We then partnered with the United States Agency for International Development's (USAID) HIV Services and Systems Strengthening program in the DR to scale up the intervention. We used a two-tier Training-of-Trainer (TOT) method to teach intervention administration.
