A system capable of exposing a flowing aerosol stream to short duration (2-4 ns), high-power RF waveforms is described. The system utilizes a C-band gyromagnetic nonlinear transmission line source having peak power outputs ranging as high as 80 kW at a center frequency of 4.2 GHz. RF electric field magnitudes of up to 280 kV/m ± 17% are achieved within the aerosol flow region of the RF exposure apparatus.

Underwater acoustic propagation is a complex phenomenon in the ocean environment. Traditional methods for calculating acoustic propagation loss rely on solving complex partial differential equations. Deep learning methods, leveraging their robust nonlinear approximation capabilities, can model various physical phenomena effectively, significantly reducing computation time and cost.

Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) caused by hantavirus is prevalent across China and causes a significant number of deaths every year. This study aims to examine the transmission dynamics of hantavirus and to suggest effective control measures. We extend a periodic model of HFRS infection including house/field mice, contaminated environments, and the human population by introducing nonlinear pulses used to describe impulsive interventions.

Vaccination is the most effective method of preventing and controlling the transmission of infectious diseases within populations. However, the phenomenon of waning immunity can induce periodic fluctuations in epidemic spreading. This study proposes a coupled epidemic-vaccination dynamic model to analyze the influence of immunity waning on the epidemic spreading within the context of voluntary vaccination.

Using panel data for 284 Chinese cities, this study explores the nonlinear relationship between the digital economy and the synergistic governance efficiency of industrial pollution and CO emissions (SGEIPCE). The study also investigates the transmission mechanism of two-way knowledge flows within this relationship using the double fixed effect model and two-stage least square method. The results show that the digital economy has a significant U-shaped relationship on the SGEIPCE: the impact first decreases and then increases.

Generally, epilepsy is considered as abnormally enhanced neuronal excitability and synchronization. So far, previous studies on the synchronization of epileptic brain networks mainly focused on the synchronization strength, but the synchronization stability has not yet been explored as deserved. In this paper, we propose a novel idea to construct a hypergraph brain network (HGBN) based on phase synchronization.
